What's the rundown on NSSLHA?

We meet every other week and we host guest speakers such as faculty, professionals from our field, graduate school representatives, and we present useful resources for the CSD community. Additionally, we hold various service, advocacy, and membership opportunities that create networking opportunities with fellow CSD majors.

How do I become a regular member?

In order to be a regular member of NSSLHA, you must:

  • Pay dues: $30 for the semester OR $40 for the year

  • Receive a t-shirt (included with dues)

  • Attend & sign-in at general meetings

  • Attend & sign-in at NSSLHA events

What are active membership requirements?

Active members must:​

  • Participate in at least 5 service hours

  • Obtain 2 membership points

  • Obtain 2 advocacy points

  • And miscellaneous point opportunities will be provided through the semester

Benefits of active membership

Active members are eligible for the following:

  • Recognition at our Spring banquet, which CSD faculty attend

  • Attending TSHA Convention in the spring, as well as a scholarship opportunity to assist with the costs

  • Leadership opportunities through officer elections in the spring
